Editorial purpose
Every publication should serve a defined audience with useful, relevant material. We distinguish fact, interpretation and commercial recommendation, and aim to use reliable sources appropriate to the subject.
OUR PUBLISHING STANDARD / LAST REVIEWED 2 OCTOBER 2026
Does Your Duck Quack? builds and operates independent publications. Technology helps us cover more ground; responsibility for what appears on our websites remains with the named operator identified on our Company information page.
Every publication should serve a defined audience with useful, relevant material. We distinguish fact, interpretation and commercial recommendation, and aim to use reliable sources appropriate to the subject.
AI may support research organisation, drafting, monitoring and routine production. It does not remove our responsibility to review material, correct significant errors and make editorial judgements.
Illustrations may be created or adapted with AI tools. They should not be presented as documentary evidence, falsely imply endorsement or deliberately impersonate a real person.
Some publications earn commission when visitors follow qualifying links or make purchases. Relevant disclosures should appear where visitors encounter those links. Commercial value does not guarantee inclusion or a favourable view.
Paid placements or supplied products should be identified clearly. Commercial partners do not receive undisclosed editorial control over independent coverage.
We routinely consider page structure, keyboard use, contrast, alternative text, readability and mobile behaviour. Accessibility is an ongoing operational responsibility rather than a one-off launch task.
We aim to be factual and politically neutral. We use official primary sources where available, including Parliament and the Federal Register, date our data and correct material errors promptly. These publications carry advertising only, not affiliate links.
Our content is general information, not medical, financial or legal advice. We point readers to authoritative sources such as the NHS, GOV.UK, Age UK and Ofgem where relevant.
Adult publications are for people aged 18 and over, use an age confirmation, are kept separate from family and children’s publications, and contain no explicit imagery.
Our children’s publications contain no adult links or advertising unsuitable for children.
Identify the publication, page address and specific concern through our contact page. We review material factual or accessibility concerns, seek appropriate evidence, correct where warranted and record significant changes on the relevant publication when useful.
Our entertainment and culture publications are independent. We aim to describe that status clearly, attribute material appropriately and provide a straightforward route for rights holders to raise attribution, licensing or removal concerns.
Our operating approach is reviewed as the network develops. A named operator is responsible for every publication. Automation may identify issues and opportunities, but it does not replace human accountability for publication decisions.
